Family Yoga Camp
When your child is willing to trust and treat you as a friend…
In today’s world, children too are confronted with stress and anxiety.
Intense competition, rigorous schedules, stressful homework, high expectations…
Thus, they need to know:
It is a lifelong learning journey.
As parents, we need to provide continuous support, as they navigate through life’s challenges.
Therefore, we need to maintain a strong parent-child relationship, to serve as the foundation.
We need to lend an ear, and be there when they need us.
Close parent-child relationships are not taken for granted
We need to do something to achieve it.
Parents are usually busy with work, so they have to hire caregivers to take care of their children.
During working days, they get home in the evening. They need to supervise their child’s homework for a while, soon it will be sleeping time.
During weekends, at last, they will have time with the kids….
But, the children are more than happy to look at tablets and check their cell phones …… The parents often play with their cell phones as well.
Even if parents and kids live under the same roof and see each other every day, they do not necessarily have a close relationship.
…… We need methods and techniques to build a good parent-child relationship.
When you have the right methods, you can build a close relationship with the kids, even with limited time.
Now you may question about:
We want to help you build a harmonious family, and help your kids to establish balanced mind.
Therefore, we are organising a 2-day 1-night family yoga camp.
Family yoga is an excellent way
to build the parent-child relationship and release stress.
Family Yoga
During the camp, you and your children will have a lot of opportunities to touch each other.
Touch is the most direct form of communication, and can quickly bring you closer to your kids.
Family yoga is a very natural interaction, and not awkward. You need to focus on each other’s breath, body and movement.
This non-verbal communication will go deeper, and allow you to feel connected again.
It is not just a simple parent-child activity,
it is an Deep-touching experience.
In addition, asanas (yoga) allow children to exercise large and small muscle groups, while stimulating limb and brain development.
It also works on balancing, flexibility, and also increases muscle control.
The camp does not do normal asana postures.
Our professional instructors have redesigned the parent-child yoga.
It will be child-centered, incorporated with games and stories, and other techniques such as dynamic story healing and art healing.
Once children’s hearts are touched, they are more willing to express their inner feelings, to help you understand them better.
Through these well-designed activities, you will be able to listen, see your child, and go deeper into each other’s hearts.
What is yoga?
Yoga is more than just asanas,
more correctly,
it is a philosophy of life.
Yoga emphasizes the balance of mind and body, and also maintaining a positive mindset.
Whether adults or children, we all need a few moments of quiet time every day.
Evidence shows that meditation and yoga are practiced globally to reduce the psychological effects of stress and anxiety.
Yoga intervention serves as a meditative movement practice, helping children manage stress and anxiety.
Therefore, there will be sessions of quiet time for meditation.
If children can practice meditation regularly at a young age,
it will have a good impact on their concentration, learning, emotional control, and mental health.
For adults, meditation can stabilize their emotions.
When emotions are stabilized, adults can treat people rationally and peacefully, they can then set an example for their children.
there are many more activities ……
sentient vegetarian food!
We will serve sentient vegetarian food throughout the whole camp.
It’s meant to make you feel, “How can vegetarian food be this good!”
Your children will help to prepare one of the meals, so they can experience the joy of serving their parents.
Although it is only two short days, this series of quality companionship and interaction will surely leave you with unforgettable memories.
The Venue
For this camp, we chose to stay at Rina Balinese Resort, which is known as the “Little Bali“.
This resort has been featured in the news & radio. It is a popular spot for vacation, and even MediaCorp celebrities have filmed their programs here.
It’s like a secret garden in the middle of the city. Its exquisitely crafted environment will absolutely amaze you.
A wet dining area where you can eat while soaking your feet in water
Isn’t that a scene in the Avatar movie?
Exquisite landscaping
Classical style bedrooms

Facilitators
Bhavana has been working at the Rehabilitation Center for more than ten years. In the course of doing social services, Bhavana realized that she needed to enhance her inner qualities, to lead a more humble and peaceful mind. As a result, she incorporated a yoga lifestyle in 2016.
It is important to focus on the holistic development of one’s own body and mind, to truly inspire one’s potential. Therefore, she focused on studying aesthetic education to expand the mind for different people.
Bhavana has seen that, for children who have developed the habit of meditation, when they close their eyes and meditate, they often display sweet and peaceful smiles. Instead of being addicted to their cell phones, they remain curious about the world and are able to gradually improve their independent learning skills.
She realized that, children need to have a nourished and joyful mind in order to grow and develop healthily.
Padminii used to have severe asthma. After trying the yoga lifestyle, her asthma was under control.
The asanas, meditation, and vegetarian diet helped her physical and mental health, giving her a mental and emotional boost.
She wants to bring these benefits to all children. She enjoys spending time with children through yoga, songs, and games. Incorporating music, art, games and stories makes it easier for children to release their emotions and relax.
She has noticed that, after a long practice of yoga, children can slow down their movements and focus on small but important things.
